Notes: Brenda is Socorro’s daughter and Jose Carlos’ mom, but she does not live with them. She lives in Libertad several towns over and doesn’t really have anything to do with Jose Carlos. He and his wife Jessica live with Socorro and the rest of the family. Jose makes cast iron pots for a living. Nydia and Reynaldo sell fish on the street together for income. Socorro also receives a small pension from her son that has passed away. She is very emotional about it. Socorro fell in January 2010 and hurt her ankle and knee. She was given medication and gel for a while but it has run out and she is still in pain. Glenda has finished a 15th month computer course.
